Summer Pet Hazards – Hosing Down Outdoors

Dogs have to be hosed down on a hot summer afternoon. But a recent study demonstrated that the temperature of water in a hose left stretched across a lawn in 90 degree weather can reach 120 degrees, hot enough to cause second or third degree burns. So be sure to run the water until it comes out cold before turning the hose on Fido!
