Veterinarian Dr. Peter Lugten has always believed that a pet is a member of the family.  He established Basic Pet Care Animal Hospital to be a place where pets can receive outstanding healthcare in a gentle, caring environment.

We believe that quality care begins with an appointment of at least 30 minutes and requires a thorough examination.  The next most important step is communication.  We spend sufficient time to discuss all the findings and recommendations.  Dr. Lugten believes in the importance of follow-up phone calls to make sure that the treatment is successful. We place a strong emphasis on preventive medicine and also careful attention to dental health.
